In order to move on the Italian infrastructure, it is compulsory to be in possession of two documents:
1) the railway licence, released by the Italian Minister of Infrastructures and Works, obtained by GTS Rail in 2008, identification number 50.
2) the safety certificate, released by ANSF, The Italian National Safety Authority, obtained by GTS Rail.
The Safety Certificate clearly indicates which rail paths a company is allowed and qualified to run on.
GTS Rail has more than once expanded this certificate, so as to adapt it to the increasing traffic requirements.
The last release was aimed at adapting to the new regulations establishing the division into part A and part B.
